In the years of the second world war, the company due to a series of causes (difficulties in raw material supply, damages of the plants because of the several bomb attacks suffered by Terni, the retiring German troupes plundering of the town) had to slow down its production activities.
By end of the war the steelworks in Terni ,one the oldest weapon factory in Italy, changed its strategy and concentrated on the production of different steel qualities for commercial uses.
